A campus memorial service is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19 in the Upper Lodge of the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs for former student Catherine “Cate” Colbert.
The event is being organized by friends who plan to share memories. For more information, contact Steve Linhart in the Dean of Students Office, 255-4443.
Funeral services are scheduled for today in Salida.
Colbert died Nov. 12 at her off-campus residence. She was the daughter of Phillip and Raye Colbert of Salida and was a May 2008 graduate of Salida High School. She was enrolled at UCCS last year as a pre-professional programs major.
UCCS Chancellor Pam Shockley-Zalabak issued a statement Nov. 12.
“On behalf of the campus community, I offer our deepest condolences to Cate’s family, friends, and classmates. To assist the campus community, university counseling services are available.”
