INTERIM UCCS CHANCELLOR <\/p>\n

INVITED TO CAMPUS AS SOLE FINALIST<\/font><\/h1>\n

BOULDER, COLO – University of Colorado President Elizabeth Hoffman announced <\/p>\n

today (Monday, April 22) that Pamela Shockley, interim chancellor for <\/p>\n

the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, has been invited to <\/p>\n

campus as the sole finalist for the permanent chancellor’s position <\/p>\n

at CU-Colorado Springs. Shockley was one of 86 national applicants for <\/p>\n

the position.<\/font><\/p>\n

"I have been <\/p>\n

very impressed with the job Pam has done for the last eight months as <\/p>\n

interim chancellor," said CU President Hoffman, "and I look <\/p>\n

forward to her campus visit. I am pleased that Pam is strongly supported <\/p>\n

by both the campus and community members of the search committee."<\/font><\/p>\n

President Hoffman <\/p>\n

noted that Shockley will be invited to an open campus forum at which <\/p>\n

the full campus as well as community is invited to participate. The <\/p>\n

date of the campus forum is Monday, April 29, 2002, 9-10 a.m., room <\/p>\n

303, UCCS University Center. Shockley will also meet with President <\/p>\n

Hoffman, as well as campus and university administrators.<\/font><\/p>\n

Shockley has served <\/p>\n

on the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs faculty for more than <\/p>\n

26 years, and has acted as interim chancellor since September 2001.<\/font><\/p>\n
