COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO — Fourteen students from Colorado and four other states were recently selected to participate in the Chancellor’s Leadership Class, a highly selective honors program at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. <\/p>\n
CLC is a four-year leadership development program that engages students in meaningful community service, helps them interact with community leaders, and builds leadership skills. The students also study effective leaders and leadership theory. Each student receives a $3,500 annual scholarship.<\/p>\n
Several organizations and businesses in Colorado Springs provided the student scholarships. They are: El Pomar Foundation, the Joseph Henry Edmondson Foundation, Agilent Technologies, and Firstbank of Colorado Springs. <\/p>\n
CLC is a member of the Colorado Leadership Alliance (CLA), a program of El Pomar Foundation. CLA is a partnership between the Student Leadership Institute, El Pomar, and five university leadership programs in Colorado. <\/p>\n
