UCCS students were involved in creating this display, as well as a display at Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station, that incorporates a beam salvaged from New York City\u2019s World Trade Center.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0The event will be attended by UCCS faculty, staff, students and leaders. Planned speakers include members of the CU Board of Regents, students involved in the design and Don Addy, president, National Homeland Defense Foundation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHY:<\/strong> UCCS students led the design of the artifact display at Cheyenne Mountain Air Station utilizing a beam from the World Trade Center. A smaller version of that display was created for the UCCS campus to serve as a reminder of the events of 9\/11 and to show the interconnectedness of the world.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHO:<\/strong> UCCS and CU dignitaries, faculty, staff, students.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHEN:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a08 a.m., Monday, Sept. 12. A dedication of the artifact display at Cheyenne Mountain Air Base is scheduled for 9:30 a.m.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHERE:<\/strong> The northeast corner of the Osborne Science &amp; Engineering Center on the campus of the University of Colorado Colorado Springs.
