Students and parents will be offered free professional help as they take an important first step to getting college financial aid on Feb. 13 at 15 locations across Colorado, including UCCS.<\/p>\n
The effort is part of the fifth annual College Goal Sunday, a national program that helps families complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. The FAFSA must be completed for a student to receive any type of financial aid, including grants, work study, student loans and many scholarships.<\/p>\n
College Goal Sunday will be from 2-4 p.m. Feb. 13 in Columbine Hall.<\/p>\n
At UCCS, College Goal Sunday efforts are organized by Kimberly Sanders, scholarship counselor, Office of Financial Aid and Student Employment. Financial aid staff members will assist at the event as volunteers.<\/p>\n
