On behalf of the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs campus community, UCCS Chancellor Pam Shockley-Zalabak issued the following statement regarding the death of Mark Allan Parr, a 48-year-old undergraduate student from Colorado Springs.<\/p>\n
\u201cI offer our most sincere and heart-felt condolences to Mark Parr\u2019s family members and friends. We are saddened by his loss.\u201d<\/p>\n
Parr, a non-traditional student, began at UCCS for the spring 2010 semester. He was a junior geography and environmental studies major. He was a graduate of Wasson High School and was a U.S. Navy veteran who returned to Colorado Springs in 1997 and worked in the electronics industry before returning to school.<\/p>\n
Memorial Services are 11 a.m. Sept. 27 at First Presbyterian Church.<\/p>\n
