This year\u2019s dozen nominations represent the most for the professional theater group in at least 10 years.<\/p>\n<p>Named for longtime Denver theatre producer Henry Lowenstein, the Henry Awards recognize outstanding achievements in Colorado theatre. More than 45 statewide theater reporters, educators and assigned judges oversee the nomination process.<\/p>\n<p>Two productions from the 2016\u20132017 Theatreworks season were selected for additional recognition. \u201cGame of Love and Chance\u201d received nominations for Outstanding Production of a Play, Outstanding Direction of a Play (Murray Ross, director), Outstanding Actor in a Play (Sammie Joe Kinnett), Outstanding Actress in a Play (Caitlin Wise), Outstanding Ensemble Performance, and Outstanding Costume Design Tier 1 (Stephanie Bradley).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cConstellations\u201d received nominations for Outstanding Production of a Play, Outstanding Direction of a Play (Joye Cook-Levy), Outstanding Actress in a Play (Carley Cornelius), Outstanding Lighting Design Tier 1 (Mike Wood), and Outstanding Sound Design Tier 1 (Jason Ducat).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTheatreworks is thrilled to be honored and in such good company along with other extraordinary Colorado artists and companies,\u201d Drew Martorella, executive director, UCCS Presents, said. \u201cWe are especially touched because this was founding artistic director, Murray Ross\u2019 final season. We know he would have been thrilled.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ross died in January at age 74.
