Brilliant 2016.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

COLORADO SPRINGS\u2013 Brilliant, an art party extravaganza to benefit the University of Colorado Colorado Springs Galleries of Contemporary Art, is scheduled for June 24 at 121 S. Tejon Street in downtown Colorado Springs.<\/p>\n

The sixth annual celebration combines art, technology, performance, sound art and music to transform GOCA 121 and the Plaza of the Rockies atrium into a spectacular experience.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is so much creative brilliance in our region,\u201d Daisy McGowan, director, Galleries of Contemporary Art, said. \u201cWe are thrilled to elevate and celebrate it with our community.\u201d<\/p>\n

A five-course dinner with cocktail pairings by Blue Star restaurant kicks off the evening, and continues with an interactive exhibition that invites attendees to explore the multitude of ways in which the internet affects human movements, connections and perceptions. A series of curated performances will take place all evening, including \u201cPsychic Barber\u201d from GOCA\u2019s Cybercy exhibition. Additional artists to perform include Kat and Bob Tudor, Mobdividual, Rock ‘n Roll Shaman, Sean Winters and the Bells of St. Vrain Handbell Ensemble. Guests are welcomed to explore throughout the space as a few surprise elements have also been programmed<\/p>\n

Attendees can sample local craft tastings provided by Colorado Common Hard Cider, Distillery 291, Local Relic, Pikes Peak Lemonade Company, Urban Steam and Vapor Distillery.<\/p>\n

Brilliant raises financial support for future gallery programs, exhibits and collaborations. Tickets are now available at www.brilliantgoca.com<\/a>. Tickets for the Brilliant dinner and art party are $125. Tickets for the art party alone are $45. UCCS students with valid identification can purchase tickets for $20. Special group rate discounts are available. Free parking provided in the Plaza of the Rockies garage.<\/p>\n
