COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. \u2013 Kaiser Permanente southern Colorado members 18 and older are now able to access primary care services at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs HealthCircle housed within the Lane Center for Academic Health Sciences.<\/p>\n

This partnership between Kaiser Permanente and UCCS is designed to provide greater access to convenient health care for UCCS employees with Kaiser Permanente coverage. Kaiser Permanente members will be able to receive care for minor illnesses and get their annual physical, a flu shot or routine blood work right on campus.<\/p>\n

\u201cOffering care at UCCS HealthCircle is part of our larger strategy to bring high-quality health care closer to our members,\u201d said C. Rocky White, MD, Kaiser Permanente\u2019s southern Colorado market medical director. “This is one more example of our commitment to improving access for UCCS employees and the members we serve in Southern Colorado.”<\/p>\n

UCCS HealthCircle, which opened in conjunction with the Lane Center\u2019s grand opening in February 2014, includes the Primary Care Clinic, Aging Center, Center for Active Living, Peak Nutrition Clinic and the Veterans Health and Trauma Clinic. Its model of providing integrated health care education, research and preventive primary and specialty care services is in line with Kaiser Permanente\u2019s integrated care delivery system, which leverages technology to deliver highly coordinated patient care across all levels of treatment. Kaiser<\/p>\n

Permanente physicians also work closely with UCCS professors to mentor third- and fourth-year medical students studying at the Lane Center.<\/p>\n

A health insurer and health care provider, Kaiser Permanente offers comprehensive health care services to more than 61,000 members living in Southern Colorado at two medical offices in Colorado Springs and one in Pueblo. Kaiser Permanente\u2019s newest medical offices opened at 215 Parkside Drive in Colorado Springs on January 2, 2015.
