Col. Mark Thompson, professor of military science, University of Colorado Colorado Springs, will preside over a ceremony for 20 recent graduates of local colleges as they are commissioned as U.S. Army second lieutenants. The students will be joined by family members and other supporters at the ceremony.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0 Family members will pin gold bars of the second lieutenant rank on the students following a commissioning oath delivered by Brig. Gen. Robert P. Walters Jr., director of intelligence for NORAD and U.S. Northern Command.<\/p>\n<p><strong>When:<\/strong>\u00a0 10 a.m. May 24, 2014<\/p>\n<p><strong>Where:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0Berger Hall in the University Center of the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, 1420 Austin Bluffs Parkway.
