On behalf of the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs campus community, UCCS Chancellor Pam Shockley-Zalabak issued the following statement regarding the death of Jerrod Elsemore, a 19-year-old student from Colorado Springs.
“I offer condolences to the family, friends, and fellow students of Jerrod Elsemore. We are all saddened by his loss.”
Elsemore, a first-year student at UCCS studying chemistry and a graduate of Manitou Springs High School, was reported missing by his family to Colorado Springs Police last week. This morning, his family published an obituary in the Colorado Springs Gazette.
