A member of the Croatian Parliament will visit the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs May 2 – June 26 to participate in an English as a second language and American culture course.
Ante Kotromanovic from Zagreb, Croatia will participate in an eight-week study and culture session at UCCS, part of the ESL and Cultural Immersion Programs offered by the Office of Global Education, College of Education.
Kotromanovic, a member of the Croatian Parliament since November 2008, chairs the Croatian War Veteran’s Committee and sits on the Domestic Policy and National Security Committee, Defense Committee, Interparliamentary Co-operation Committee and is a member of the delegation to the assembly of the Western European Union.
The UCCS College of Education is accredited by the National Council of Accreditation of Teacher Education. The college enrolls more than 400 undergraduate and graduate students each semester in areas of study such as special education, counseling, curriculum and instruction and leadership. The college also provides professional development for hundreds of practicing educators throughout the region.
UCCS, located on Austin Bluffs Parkway in Colorado Springs, is one of the fastest growing universities in the nation. The University offers 34 bachelor’s degrees, 19 master’s, and five doctoral degrees. The campus enrolls about 8,500 students annually.
