In an effort to facilitate media needs at the July 29 Donald Trump campaign event at UCCS, the following resources are being made available.
Event information: The Trump event begins at 2 p.m. at the Gallogly (GAL-OH-GLEE) Events Center at UCCS. Doors will open at 11 a.m. for ticket holders. All ticketing was handled by the Trump campaign.
Media credentials: This will be handled by the Trump campaign. Please call Lydia Blaha, (719) 440-1338, or visit http://donaldjtrump.com/schedule.
Media entrance: Berger Hall, adjacent to the Gallogly Events Center.
Media set: Media should plan on having their equipment in the Gallogly Events Center by 8 a.m. The GEC will open at 7 a.m. No access after 9 a.m.
Parking: Satellite trucks may park in front of Centennial Hall in the bus stop area. The parking lot in front of Centennial (Lot 222) is reserved for reporters with credentials and for those with ADA needs.
Connections: Hardwire high-speed Internet connections will be available inside the Gallogly Events Center in the media area. Please bring an Ethernet cord. No additional power will be available. A multiple-outlet microphone feed will be available. Again, please bring your own cords.
Restrictions/closures: The UCCS campus will remain open and summer classes are in session. However, access to some roads may be restricted. Please do not impede pedestrian or vehicle traffic.
Wayfinding: The campus is located at 1420 Austin Bluffs Parkway. The main campus entrance is at Austin Bluffs and Meadow Lane. A campus map is available at http://www.uccs.edu/map. Gallogly Events Center is GEC. Centennial Hall is CENT.
Restrooms/Refreshments: The University Center will be open and includes restrooms, a restaurant and coffee shop.
