What: Joe Wismann-Horther, integration program supervisor, Colorado Refugees Services Program, will present “Refugee 101” as a guest lecturer at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs.

Where: University Center Room 302, University of Colorado Colorado Springs, 1420 Austin Bluffs Parkway.
Who: Wismann-Horther will be a guest in a course taught by Emily Skop, associate professor, Geography and Environmental Studies Department. He has an extensive background in adult education and training in diverse cultural settings.
Why: Refugees, particularly from Syria, have been a topic of discussion in the region and nation. Wismann-Horther will present information about refugee relocation and will answer questions including defining who is a refugee.
How: Skop will open her regularly scheduled class to members of the general public interested in refugee issues. Parking will be free of charge in lot 222 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
