What: The University of Colorado Colorado Springs will observe a moment of silence in honor of UCCS Police Officer Garrett Swasey at the beginning of scheduled basketball games against Ottawa (Kansas) University (men’s ) and St. Martin’s University (women’s). Swasey was killed in the line of duty in support of Colorado Springs Police responding to an off-campus shooting.
Who: Chancellor Pam Shockley Zalabak, UCCS Police Chief Brian McPike and members of the UCCS Police Department will participate in the pre-game moment of silence. Shockley-Zalabak and McPike will be available for interviews.
When: Please arrive at 3:15 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. Parking will be in Lot 224.
