MEDIA ADVISORY-WALL OF HEROES TO BE UNVEILED AT CU-COLORADO SPRINGS

Who: The student-initiated Yellow Ribbon Support Group will be presenting the Wall of Heroes at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.

What: Yellow ribbons and pictures of CU-Colorado Springs’ students, faculty, staff, friends and family members serving in the U.S. armed forces. Each picture has been provided by members of the UCCS community and includes the name, rank and duty station of the service member. The wall display will remain on campus through May recognizing those impacted by military deployments and service.

When: 12:15 p.m., Wednesday, April 30, 2003

Where: University Center (1420 Austin Bluffs Parkway)

Speakers: Joe Stewart, UCCS Office of Veteran’s Affairs, and Charlene Kelly, president, Yellow Ribbon Support Group.

The Yellow Ribbon Support Group provides the campus community information, health and counseling referrals and a variety of other resources related to military deployments and current events. The group’s Web site is http://web.uccs.edu/yellowribbon/.
