WHO: More than 500 middle school students from across southern Colorado.

WHAT: An engineering challenge that will feature students competing in five different events. Competitions including manipulating a hydraulic robot arm, building a rubber band propelled car, a math “Jeopardy” style contest, timed computer generations contest, and a rocket building contest.

WHERE: The Engineering and Applied Science building and the University Center located on the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs Campus.

WHEN: 12:30-4 p.m. Feb. 24

WHY: The event is held in conjunction with National Engineers Week and is designed to bolster student interest in math and science.
