Who: University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, Departments of Housing and Student Success; U.S. Army, Fort Carson, 2nd BCT
What: Certificate presentation to university leadership by U.S. Army Col. Michael Resty, Jr., United States Army Garrison Commander, in recognition of the university’s role in temporarily housing soldiers returning from duty in Iraq. The soldiers lived in campus housing from July 28 to Aug. 8, assisting the Army with its temporary housing shortage.

Where: Crestone House, Alpine Village Apartments, University of Colorado at Colorado Springs campus.
Speakers: Col. Resty will present a certificate of appreciation to Jim Henderson, vice chancellor, Student Success, Jeff Davis, director, University Center, Sean Flaherty, director, Residence Life and Housing and Ralph Giese, manager, Alpine Village.
