COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – A University of Colorado Colorado Springs program in business and leadership education will focus its attention on helping the victims of the Waldo Canyon Fire, organizers announced today.
The Certification in Business Education and Leadership for Sport was originally scheduled for July 9-13. That full program will be rescheduled, according to Venkat Reddy, dean, College of Business. However, a July 9 keynote address by two-time Super Bowl winner Don Davis will continue.
Davis will speak at 6:30 p.m. July 9 at the Garden of the Gods Club, 3320 Mesa Road, about the importance of business education and leadership training within the sports industry. He will be joined by College of Business faculty who are associated with an ethics initiative. We feel that postponing the program will allow everyone involved to focus their resources on the safety of their families and the support of their colleagues.”
