WHAT: UCCS will host a watch party for the Oct. 9 presidential debate between Democrat candidate Hillary Clinton and Republican candidate Donald Trump.
WHO: Christopher Bell, assistant professor, UCCS Department of Communication, will discuss rhetorical principles and argumentation strategy before and after the debate, which will be broadcast. Most in the audience are expected to be UCCS students.
Bell specializes in popular culture and teaches courses in critical analysis of rhetorical theory, mass media and popular culture.
WHEN: 6 p.m. Oct. 9 for pre-debate discussion, 7 p.m. for the debate, with discussion to follow.
WHERE: Kettle Creek Room of the Roaring Fork Dining Hall, on the west side of campus off Stanton Road.
